The faculty of CCPPA is comprised of experts in the fields of education, psychology, law, conflict resolution, political science, religion, peace studies and sociology. The senior faculty is complemented with a large number of educators from various disciplines with a minimum of two years of intensive training in CCPPA concepts and methodologies. The Academic Council of CCPPA includes the following:


Pastor Taiwo Oladokun Odunola


He is the Chairman of the Centre for Crisis Prevention and Peace Advocacy (CCPPA). He is a graduate of Accounting from Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma in Edo State and a Master degree holder in Human Resource Management from Liverpool University U.K. Pastor Odunola is a minister of God with certification from the word of faith Bible Institute.


Pastor Odunola is an outstanding Peace Advocate and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators of Nigeria. He has conducted research and published on issues of conflict management and peace building. He is a recipient of peace Ambassador and several other awards on peace building.


Pastor Odunola is a self-tutored conflict manager. He bagged certificates in conflict Analysis, interfaith conflict resolution and negotiation and conflict management courses from United States Institute of Peace in 2010. He is a passionate peace builder who believes in peaceful co-existence among people.


Prof. Muhammed Tawfiq Ladan


Professor Muhammed Tawfiq Ladan is a professor of international law who obtained his LLB, LLM and PhD degrees in Law in 1986, 1990 and 1997 respectively. Prof. Ladan’s teaching, research and postgraduate supervision career started 26 years ago at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Faculty of Law (1987 to 2013).  Prof. Ladan’s contribution to the development of Nigerian and international laws is clearly manifested in his over 14 authored books; over 40 journal articles and over 60 national and international conference/seminar papers written and presented in Nigeria, USA, UK, Denmark, France, Canada, Ghana, South Africa, Dubai, Tunisia, Ethiopia, Brazil, Cameroon, Kenya, Indonesia, etc. Prof. Ladan is therefore widely cited and referred on his blogsite:


Ladan is the Lead National Consultant in the drafting and defence of Nigeria’s Country Periodic human rights Reports to the UN CEDAW, UPR and CRC Committees in New York and Geneva and to the African Commission on Human Rights in Banjul, the Gambia (2003 to date).


Ladan chairs the national board of trustees of Zero Corruption Coalition Group (2008 to date) and on the board of several other Civil Society Organisations.


He is an external examiner for PhD in Law, at the Faculties of Law, University of Ghent, Belgium, 2012; University of Western cape South Africa, 2009; University of Kwazulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa, 2013. External Examiner to the National War College, Abuja, 2002 to date, on course projects relating to humanitarian law, human rights, good governance, conflict and security law in Africa.


Barrister Wilfred A. Okoi


Barrister W. A. Okoi is a lawyer, consultant and scholar who works, teaches and publishes in the areas of conflict resolution, constitutional law, law and religion. Barr. Okoi was previously the head of litigations, Domus Justita at trinity house, Abuja.

He is the co-creator of Youth Peacebuilders Club (YPC) of CCPPA as well as the co-author of the maiden edition of “The Peace Advocate”, an in-house journal publication of the Centre for Crisis Prevention and Peace Advocacy. Barr. Okoi has attended several seminars and short courses on Peace and Conflict resolution from United States Institute of Peace and Peace Operations training institute.



Mr. Clement Nebanat Kuliyak


Mr. Clement N. Kuliyak is the North/West Regional Coordinator of CCPPA. He is a graduate of Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). He was the Secretary of Southern Kaduna Peoples’ Union (SOKAPU) Peace and Reconciliation Committee, a daunting mediation assignment convened by the then Deputy Governor of Kaduna state Sir. Patrick Yakowa in the year 2007, this was when the corporate existence of the people of the Southern part of Kaduna state was threatened by heated conflicts which lead to gross political and economic losses on the part of the Southern Kaduna People. He was the Special Duties Secretary of Nigerian Indigenous and International Youth Development Agency (NIIYDA - NGO) Kaduna from the year 2004 to 2007 and Public Relations Officer in the same organization from the year 2007 to 2008.


Mr. Kuliyak to date has remained a mentor, consultant and facilitator to Advocates for Peace and Unity Development Association, Kaduna State. He is the Co-Author of the Peace Education Programme of the Centre for Crisis Prevention and Peace advocacy (CCPPA). Mr. Kuliyak has undertaken numerous independent course works on conflict management including those from Interfaith Mediation Centre - Nigeria, United States Institute of Peace and United Nations Peace Operations Training Institute. Mr. Kuliyak is burdened with a commitment to systematically champion education, information, enlightenment, inspiration and encouragement to all concerned in a bid to foster peaceful co-existence for the much desired advancement of humanity and the world at large.


Mr. Ernest Lawani


Mr. E. Lawani is a chartered mediator and conciliator. He was a facilitator with the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators of Nigeria from 2010 to 2013. He completed his Masters degree in peace and conflict studies from the university of Ibadan haven completed his Bachelors degree in international studies and diplomacy from Ambrose Alli University, Edo State from 1997 to 2003. Mr. Lawani was a member of peace and conflict students association of Nigeria (PACSSA). As a scholar in conflict resolution, he teaches and publishes in mediation, conciliation, crisis management and post conflict stability and development.



Prof. Steven Adamu Nkom


Prof. S. A. Nkom is a Professor of Sociology at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in Kaduna State of Nigeria. He was the dean of post graduate school from 2007 to 2010. Prof. Nkom has authored several books, journals articles and numerous international/conference/seminars papers written and presented in Nigeria Africa and Europe. Prof. Nkom was chairman, faculty graduate dean (post graduate) faculty of Arts and Social Science, Ahmadu Bello  University Zaria from 2003 – 2006. He was also chairman, humanities research at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in Kaduna State.




Dr. Abdullahi Wase


Dr. B. A Wase is senior research fellow on ethnicity, inequality and human security. He is the chairman, Christian – Muslim dialogue forum in plateau state. He is also the Executive Director of African Children Talent Discovery Foundation. Dr. Wase is a scholar, consultant, teacher and publisher with special interest in human security, human rights and justice distribution, conflict management, negotiation, dialogue and reconciliation. He has contributed immensely to the development of Nigeria through his conference/seminar papers presented in various platforms in Nigeria and abroad. He is an ardent supporter of good governance and humanitarian law.



Mr. Abdulwaheed O. Yakubu


Mr. A. O. Yakubu is the National Coordinator of the Centre for Crisis Prevention and Peace Advocacy (CCPPA). He completed his masters degree in sustainable peace in the contemporary world at University for peace, Costa Rica. He is a full member of the Certified Board of Administrators of Nigeria and a chartered mediator and conciliator (chmc) as well as a member of Society for Peace Studies and Practice.


Mr. Yakubu is also a recipient of certifications in conflict Analysis, Interfaith conflict resolution as well as Negotiation and conflict management courses from the United States Institute of Peace in addition to other short courses from peace operations training institute (POTI). He is an outstanding facilitator and resource person on peace and conflict resolution haven been teaching and lecturing in the areas of conflict resolution, preventive diplomacy, negotiation and peace studies for over a decade. Mr. Yakubu is passionate about creating a world where disputes are resolved using peaceful approaches.


Miss Stella Uchena Nnaji

Miss S. U. Nnaji is the project coordinator of Gender based campaign project of the centre for crisis prevention and peace advocacy (CCPPA). She completed her bachelors degree in peace and conflict studies from national Open University, Kaduna Centre. She is also a maters degree candidate on peace and conflict studies in the same University. Miss Nnaji also has administrative experience haven worked with some NGOs in the areas of girl-child education and human rights.





Rev. Dr. Amb. Samuel K. Kujiyat

Rev. Dr. Kujiyat is the General Overseer of the Rhema Living Word Global Ministries. Rev. Kujiyat was the former chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, Kaduna State Chapter, former Chairman Kaduna State Christian Pilgrims’ Welfare Board and former vice chairman, Pentecostal fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) – Kaduna State Chapter. Rev. Kujiyat completed his Masters degree in Animal Breeding at Kansas State University (U.S.A), his first degrees in veterinary medicine from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in Kaduna State. He worked briefly as a veterinary medical officer in various northern states in Nigeria before turning to full time ministry. Rev. Kujiyat has written and presented numerous conference seminar papers on inter-faith dialogue, peaceful co-existence and conflict management both in Nigeria and abroad.
